Pronouns

SHE, with the resilience of a lone tree flourishing in the midst of arid plains, visited only by the odd wayfaring bird, had weathered enough storms to be able to tell you something about the wisdom of life

and HE was an enigma: the excitement of the chase; the hubbub of a lion hunting prey; the first touch of spring on a still April morning.
